Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 ยท Effective: October 6, 2026

The short version

  • We do not sell, rent or trade anyone's information. Ever. No ads, no ad trackers, no data brokers.
  • The digiFREE® app collects nothing about you. No account, no sign-in, no tracking. Your savings and favorites live on your phone.
  • Merchants: we keep what you give us so we can verify you, list your discount and support you. Your contact details are never published.
  • We keep only what we need, we tell you why and for how long, and you can ask us to delete it: privacy@digi-discounts.com
  • Sponsors never get your information. Not a list, not an email, not at any price.

The rest of this policy is the detail behind those five lines.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Digi Discounts LLC ("Digi", "we", "us") is a New Jersey company. This policy covers:

  • the digiFREE® app and digiFREE LITE
  • digi-discounts.com and the tools on it: the merchant form, digiECOSYSTEM, digiNETWORK, digiCREATE, digiLOCAL, digiGAMEDAY and digiNIGHTS
  • Call to ACTION, Value2 and our support channels

It does not cover a merchant's own store, website or checkout, or any other company's site we link to. They have their own policies.

2. If you use digiFREE (customers)

What we collect: nothing that identifies you.

  • No account, no sign-in. We do not know who you are.
  • No ads, no analytics tools, no tracking inside the app.
  • The discounts come to you, not the other way round. The app downloads one published list that is the same for everyone. Nothing about you is sent to get it.
  • Your savings, favorites and visit history stay on your phone. We never see them. Delete the app and they are gone.
  • Your location stays on your phone. The app uses it on your device to show what is near you and to notice when you are at a merchant. It is not sent to us.

Maps.

  • iPhone: maps are Apple's (Apple Maps). Nothing is shared with us.
  • Android: maps are Google's. Google's map may collect information from your device under Google's own policy. Digi collects nothing and Google shares nothing with us.

App stores. Apple and Google give us totals (installs, ratings) that do not identify anyone. If you write a public review, we read it and may reply publicly from our internal tool.

digiFREE LITE runs inside some merchants' own websites or apps. We can see which websites it runs on, so a merchant knows it is working. We see nothing about the people using it.

3. If you are a merchant

What we collect, when you join or update your listing:

  • Your business: name, where your discount can be used (your storefront address, or the areas you serve, and where you sell online), category, discount and levels, terms, codes, website, social links, review link, logo, photos and description.
  • Your contact: name, role, email and phone, for each location's owner.
  • Your agreement: that you accepted the digiMERCHANT Agreement, which version, and when; your answer about any franchise agreement.
  • How you take payment: the point-of-sale or checkout system you use, only if you tell us.

Why: to verify you, publish your discount, keep your listing right, support you, and send you messages about your listing and account. Not marketing.

What is public, and what never is:

Public on your listingNever public
Business name, logo, photos, descriptionYour name, email and phone
Storefront address and map locationA service business's street address. If customers do not come to you, we show only the areas you serve
Areas you serve, where you sell onlineYour franchise answer and agreement records
Category, your digiFREE discount, termsOur internal notes
Website, social and review linksYour digiPLUS levels, until digiPLUS launches

Signing in. You sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send you. The code expires in 10 minutes and we store it only in scrambled (hashed) form. Staying signed in uses one cookie on your device that lasts up to a year and renews when you use it. You can sign out, or sign out of every device, at any time. We never use text messages.

Things that use your business name or logo:

  • Welcome post. When you are approved, we may welcome you on Digi's social media with your business name, logo and handle. Ask us and we take it down.
  • digiLOCAL. Customers can make graphics that show your business name and logo, to recommend you. We never see what they make. Ask us and we switch it off for your business.
  • digiNETWORK. Posts you make show your business name and city to other merchants. If you tap I can help on another merchant's post, and confirm, your name, business and email go to that merchant only.

Other merchant tools:

  • digiCREATE and digiGAMEDAY make graphics on your own device. Nothing you make is sent to us.
  • digiNIGHTS. When you say you are going, we keep your business name and whether you are bringing a +1. Nothing about your guest.
  • Share Package. If we mail you a door sticker kit, we use your mailing address to ship it.

How long we keep it: while you are on Digi. If you leave, your listing comes off the app at our next update, and we keep your agreement records for 7 years in case either of us ever needs them. Ask us to delete anything else.

4. If you subscribe to Call to ACTION

What we collect: your name, email, business, whether you are a new entrepreneur, how you found us, and whether and about what you would like us to contact you.

Why: to put the monthly call on your calendar and, only if you asked, to contact you about what you picked.

  • Never shared. Not with sponsors, not with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, not with anyone.
  • The public counter on the page is a number. No names.
  • Leave any time. Ask us and we remove you; ask us to erase you and we do.

5. If you contact us

digiMESSAGE and email (support@, welcome@, privacy@):

  • We keep the conversation as a support record, so we can help you and follow up.
  • Email stays in our Microsoft 365 mailboxes. Our staff read and answer it from our internal tool, which does not keep its own copy of the words.
  • You can ask us to delete your conversation. We will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

6. If you comment on our social media

When you comment on Digi's own Facebook or Instagram posts, we read and answer it from our internal tool. We keep your public name or username and your comment. We do not look at or collect anything else from your profile. Delete your comment on the platform and it leaves our tool at our next check.

7. If you visit our website

  • No ad trackers and no third-party analytics.
  • Hosting and security. Our website runs on Cloudflare, which handles technical information (like your IP address and browser) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots.
  • Your device. Some pages save your progress in your browser (like a half-finished form) so you do not lose it. That stays on your device. The only cookie we set is the merchant sign-in cookie.
  • Fonts. Served from our own site, not from Google.
  • digiMAP. The map itself comes from OpenFreeMap, a free, open map service. It sees which part of the map is being looked at, not who you are. Your location is used only if you tap Near me, on your device, and is never sent to us.

8. Who we share information with

We never sell, rent or trade it. We share only with companies that run parts of Digi for us, only what they need, under their contracts with us:

Backups. We copy our databases every night so nothing can be lost to an accident or an attack. When we delete something, it leaves our live systems immediately and our backup copies as they cycle out.

10. Your choices

Anyone, anywhere, can ask us to:

  • see what we hold about them
  • correct it
  • delete it

Email privacy@digi-discounts.com. We answer within 30 days. To protect you, we reply only to the email address we already have for you.

11. Children

digiFREE is rated for everyone (4+) and collects nothing from anyone, children included. Our merchant tools, Call to ACTION and digiMESSAGE are for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a parent believes we have, email privacy@ and we delete it.

12. Keeping it safe

  • Every connection to us is encrypted.
  • Only Digi staff who need it can see merchant and support information, and they sign in with a second step.
  • Sign-in codes and sessions are stored scrambled, never as the real thing.
  • Every change our staff make to merchant records is logged with who made it and when.

No system is perfect. If something ever goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

13. Changes to this policy

When we change it, we post the new version here with a new number and date, and keep every past version at its own address. If a change affects merchants in a meaningful way, we email them before it takes effect.

Past versions are kept and available on request.
